On December 1, 2025, the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) introduced new 2025 Competency Exam blueprints and updated licensing exams for its core courses.

What was the RECA 2025 exam update?
On December 1, 2025, the licensing exams for both the Fundamentals of Real Estate and the Practice of Residential Real Estate courses were updated to align with RECA’s 2025 Competency Exam blueprints.
We aligned all course content with those standards. Every lesson, practice question and flashcard now maps to what the exam actually tests.
Our platform: smarter, more efficient
ReadyEngine makes the path to licensing more personalized than a fixed course can be. It is built to:

Instead of a completion percentage, you get Concept Mastery by topic and a ReadyRating™ from 1 to 5 that tells you when the data says it’s time to book your exam.
What this meant for Relo students at the time
Learners enrolled before the transition had two options. Those close to finishing could complete their program on the existing platform. Everyone else moved to the updated courses built for the 2025 exams, at no extra cost.
“Am I starting over?”
No. Knowledge carried forward.
Completion percentages didn’t transfer, but knowledge is what matters. On the new platform, learners start with an initial assessment aligned to the 2025 RECA exam blueprints. It recognizes what you already know and builds your study plan from there. The stronger your foundation, the faster you progress.
