How long is the program?

About 200 hours of online learning to be licensed.

What is the expected timeline for getting certified?

18 months of training, and then a licensing exam.

How long will my certification be valid for?

It’s permanent, as long as you remain licensed. If you stop practicing, your license expires in three years.

How many hours each day/week/month/year should I be planning on spending on the program?

Plan for a minimum of 3 hours per week.

What are the resources like?

You can expect to learn in engaging, interactive formats, with a mix of text, images, quizzes, and assignments.

Are there any proctored exams?

Yes, and they’re managed by the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).

Are there any work experience requirements to start this program?

No.

Are there any post-secondary requirements to start this program?

No.

Yes, you must complete the course within 18 months.
