Since our December 2025 launch, 96% of Relo learners have successfully passed within Real Estate Council of Alberta’s (RECA) two allowable exam attempts.
That is the result that matters most to us. Learners come to Relo to move forward with a new career, and our job is to help them reach that goal.

What’s new about Relo?
Traditional online learning often asks every learner to follow the same path, spend the same amount of time on every topic and decide for themselves whether they are truly ready for the exam.
ReadyEngine takes a different approach.
It responds to each learner’s progress, helping them see what they already understand and where they need more practice.
Instead of spending unnecessary time reviewing familiar material, learners can focus their attention on the concepts they still need to master.
The goal is simple: Help learners use their study time more productively, become exam-ready sooner and move toward passing with greater confidence.
The new Relo is not about rushing through the course. It is about making every study session count.
Relo learner outcomes are improving
According to RECA’s published course provider results, Relo improved across both major pre-licensing courses.
Fundamentals of Real Estate
- January to December 2025: 52% success rate, 69% average exam score, across 254 exam attempts
- January to June 2026: 61% success rate, 73% average exam score, across 62 exam attempts
Practice of Residential Real Estate
- January to December 2025: 60% success rate, 71% average exam score, across 226 exam attempts
- January to June 2026: 71% success rate, 73% average exam score, across 63 exam attempts
Put simply: on Fundamentals, the share of successful exam sittings rose from about 5 in 10 to more than 6 in 10. On Practice of Residential, it rose from about 6 in 10 to more than 7 in 10. Relo’s 73% average score on Fundamentals ties for the highest of any Fundamentals provider in RECA’s January to June 2026 results.
These are not projections or internal estimates. They are learner results published by Alberta’s real estate regulator.
We are not claiming to be finished. Other Alberta providers still post higher success rates on Fundamentals, and RECA publishes all of it side by side so you can check. What changed is the direction, on both courses, in the first period after the rebuild.
Three things to keep in mind
- These are early numbers. The January to June 2026 results cover 62 exam attempts in Fundamentals and 63 in Practice of Residential. The direction is clear, but a six-month window is a smaller sample than a full year, and we would rather say that ourselves than let you find it out later.
- This period is a crossover. ReadyEngine launched in December 2025. Many of the learners who wrote exams in the first half of 2026 did a good share of their studying on the platform we replaced. What RECA is showing is the new experience starting to land, not the new experience at full strength.
- We are not claiming all the credit. RECA does not report how individual learners prepared, so we will not claim ReadyEngine is the only reason these numbers moved. What we can say is that outcomes went in the right direction on both courses in the first period after launch, and that is what we built it to do.
A faster, more focused path to exam readiness
Preparing for a licensing exam can feel overwhelming when every topic seems equally important.
ReadyEngine helps learners cut through that uncertainty. It’s not a help widget bolted onto the side of an online course. It’s built into the Relo learning experience to help learners make better decisions about how to study.

Understanding the results
RECA reports course provider success rates based on individual exam sittings, including repeat sittings.
This differs from Relo’s 96% final learner success rate, which follows each learner through their two allowable RECA exam attempts and counts them once based on whether they ultimately passed.
The two measures answer different questions:
- RECA’s provider results show the percentage of individual exam sittings that resulted in a pass.
- Relo’s final learner success rate shows the percentage of learners who ultimately passed within their allowable attempts.
Together, they provide a fuller picture: 96% of Relo learners ultimately succeed, and the latest RECA results show that learner performance on exam day is improving.
Common questions about Relo’s results
What is Relo’s pass rate?
We publish a final learner success rate rather than a pass rate, and since our December 2025 launch it is 96%. The difference matters: a pass rate counts exam sittings, while our figure counts learners, each once, based on whether they ultimately passed within their two allowable RECA attempts.
Why does RECA show a different success rate for Relo?
RECA counts every exam sitting separately, including repeat sittings, so their figure answers a different question than ours. RECA publishes two periods side by side. January to December 2025 shows Relo at 52% for Fundamentals and 60% for Practice of Residential, from the platform we replaced. January to June 2026 shows 61% and 71%, the first period that includes learners on ReadyEngine.
What is ReadyEngine, and how is it different from the old Relo platform?
ReadyEngine is the platform behind the new Relo. The old version worked the way most pre-licensing courses do: one path for everyone, and a completion bar as your only measure of progress. You finished the course and hoped for the best on exam day.
ReadyEngine is built around readiness instead. It maps what you already know against the RECA exam blueprint, builds a daily study plan around your actual gaps, and adjusts as you go. Your ReadyRating, a score from 1 to 5, tells you where you stand, so booking your exam stops being a guess.
The practical difference is time. Some learners have finished their course in around half the time it took them on our previous platform, because they stopped re-reading material they had already mastered.
